Keeping Ourselves Updated

Here at Lockkeys Locksmiths Ashton in Makerfield we often get asked how do locksmiths keep themselves updated ? Well their is a number of ways which includes, networking with other locksmiths, youtube, locksmith forums, whatsapp groups and visiting locksmith exhibitions where we meet lock distributors and manufacturers and locksmith tool inventors.

In October 2023 both myself and Pam went to a Lock expo which was held at the International Centre, Telford, Shropshire. Being the largest in Europe it gave us the opportunity to look at new products from Apecs Locks who we already deal with and who own a factory in Taiwan (most locks are made there) so they actually manufacture their own locks which also means they can control the quality of the lock products manufactured.
